  09 Dec 09 - UNCTAD and Capacity Building International, Germany (InWEnt) organised the Workshop in Cape Town, South Africa, in collaboration with ICTSD and TRALAC. The Workshop was attended by a total of 33 participants from sixteen countries in the region. The workshop enabled networking and extensive national experience sharing among participants.
 07 July 09 - UNCTAD, WHO, UNIDO and ICTSD held a Ministerial Breakfast Roundtable at the ECOSOC High Level Segment on the Global Public Health, High-Quality, and Low-Cost Pharmaceutical Production in Developing Countries. The roundtable launched the WHO, UNCTAD and ICTSD Project on pharmaceutical-related transfer of technology in favour of developing countries funded by the European Commission.
 29 May 09 - The UNCTAD-ICTSD side event discussed the Munich Declaration on a Balanced Interpretation of the ´ Three-Step Test´ in Copyright Law and the role of copyright limitations and exceptions in digitally integrated scientific research.
